Has anyone mailed their purse to Gucci instead of taking it to the actual Gucci Store for repair ?

I ditto your thread!! My large Babouska briefcase is missing a hardware piece and I no longer have the receipt either. Been too many years. Will we have trouble getting it repaired by Gucci? Anyone??????

I mailed my belt to store for repair (not a handbag but I'm assuming it's the same process). I called the store to find out my options, and they suggested that I post it to them since my nearest store is over 2 hours away. I included copies of the receipt simply to prove when I purchased it and that it wasn't reasonable wear and tear, however the store said that if I didn't have a receipt it was no big deal. The belt was sent to Florence for the actual repair and they kept me updated every step of the way. It took around two weeks from posting it to them to getting it back. This is in the UK so I'm not sure of the process in other parts of the world. I hope it is a smooth and quick process for you :)
