Has anyone had the turnlock on their reissue fall off?

I am on holiday in Hong Kong at the moment. I have an older caviar reissue and whilst I was in the Chanel boutique the turnlock fell off! So apropos...

The SA immediately got an form for me to fill out so I can send it to Chanel to fix. I looked at it closely and it appears that it was screwed on so I screwed it back on myself but don't dare to use the bag again until I get back to the Chanel store in my city,

Has anyone had an experience of a turnlock falling off? I really love my reissue and this is the first time it's happened.

The turn lock fell off (and some of the screws etc too) on a seasonal mini a few months back. I think I’m my case it may have just been not done as tightly as it should have maybe in the beginning? But like anything that’s attached it can loosen over time too I would think and just needs to be reattached well again. Mine came back to the boutique in 2-3 weeks and good as new

Oh that’s good to know! It’s my favorite Chanel bag and when he turnlock fell to the floor I was heartbroken.

Chanel called me 2 weeks after I dropped it off - I was so surprised that they got it done so quickly! It cost $85 and I was so happy to get my bag back.

I am curious if they would repair the turnlock on a preloved purchase.

It was preloved - no questions asked whether I bought it from their boutique. The SA inspected it and wrote down the authenticity sticker number on the invoice.

I'm glad they resolved it for you, though it's a bummer that you were charged. The screws should not come loose like that! I believe that one of PF's founders, Megs, had this happen with her new Reissue. She wrote about it on PurseBlog. I also have a caviar Reissue and love it!

I have a few Reissues, and had this problem occur on my Reissue WOC that had a working turnlock. I just screwed it back on, but was definitely aware and cautious when I used it.
