Has anyone gone overboard buying 1941 items?

I recently discovered how much I love the rogue and the 1941 leather - I feel that I might have gone overboard in buying - I already had two rogue satchels and a bandit from last years sales and have gone crazy buying rogues. Part of it is I am not sure Coach is going to have leather this good again and want to buy rogues before it is too late.

I am thinking of returning them all and just keeping my 1941 red rogue which I love to death -
What are your thoughts on the subject? Do you think they are worth keeping or will we all get bored and regret having so many bags of the same style.

I think the rogue leather is some of the best feeling leather I've held in my hands in a long time. I have multiple rogues. The only other time I've bought multiple of a bag style was with the RK I/O boxer, and also because of the leather. I don't regret it because I use them all.

If you bought them because you love them, I say keep them. If you bought them for the leather, definitely carry them.

Considering the 3rd generation and even their newer bags have thinner leather, we may not see lush thick leather for a long time.

I feel like you might be burnt out from having all these bags essentially perform the same in usage. Keep what you love, but personally I would probably cap out at around 2-3 max per size. You'll have your favorite, and at least another colorway that pairs well with a different type of outfit. This way you allow another bag to help shoulder the work!

If you love even the recent haul of rogues, maybe prune out some other styles you don't enjoy as much and let your rogues shine.

I personally hit a wall after enjoying black pebbled leather coach bags - I kept getting more of the same, but I feel a weight lifted after I pruned the ones I didn't enjoy as much.

Yea, what she said. Couldn't have said it better myself.

I totally get the FOMO with 1941. My SA told me to pace myself during SAS and not go overboard with buying and I am glad I listened to her. Coach is coming out with some incredible looking bags, and I have funds freed up for the new stuff (Tabby and Cassie). I still bought the classic colors (chalk and black) in the rogue 25 as well as a few 1941 SLGs (tea rose clutches, wallets). I don't have more than 2 bags in any style, and of those two they need to be different patterns, seasonal colors, etc. I'm happy with my 1941 exposure.

How long do you have to return the bags?

I say put all of your bags in the same style out somewhere where you can see them. And as you are getting ready in the morning see which bag you reach towards. If you only have end up going for one or two of them (maybe don't actually carry them if you plan to return), that might give you your answer.

The only bag I have two of is the legacy Penny and I slightly regret the second one more because I got it used and the quality wasn't as high as I thought but I didn't want the hassle of trying to return it. And I still use it just not as much as the other one.

I go through phases with my bags where all of a sudden I'm like oh I love this bag why haven't I been using it more! I have a few that have crossbody straps but when I started to hand carry one (its a satchel) and use a shoulder strap for the other it was an instant game changer and I loved the bags even more than I already did.

I find that only certain colors work with my wardrobe so I'll never use a bag that doesn't match my outfits, so that might be something to consider. Doesn't have to be just neutrals though. One thing I've found is light colored leather bags you can't wash are impossible to keep looking pristine if you plan to use your bags forever, especially near the edges.

Just food for thought!

I say hold onto them for now. Last thing you want is to let them go, just to wish you kept them. What I do is every 3 months or so, review the bags that I have. If I don't get that same excitement that led me to purchase AND I haven't carried them in a while, then I know that I should let them go and won't miss them when I do.

Problem with that is I think Coach only gives you a 30 day return window so she doesn't have longer than that to return them.

Well - I have two that I can still return - I have the Black Disney one with patches and the Prussian Blue - the Prussian Blue did not thrill me like it did other people but it is still a good looking bag and I like the Disney one because of the bright purple with the black and the collectible factor - I dress mostly in neutrals and wear a lot of black and use my accessories as splashes of color - that is why I love my 1941 red rogue so much.

I would personally keep the ones you love the most and return anything you're on the fence about.
Here's the truth: there will always be another bag you love. There will always be lush leathers (perhaps from Coach, perhaps a different brand). You're not missing out because you already own your favourite: the 1941 red rogue.

Having a lot of the same style of bag can actually devalue the whole collection (not monetarily, but in terms of sentiment and pleasure).
It is sometimes better to have 1 that you love and value dearly than to have 10 that you quite like. You'll find more pleasure in using the few chosen ones often, and truly enjoying them, than in rotating between many but only slightly enjoying them.
Unpopular opinion: More isn't always better. Sometimes it's just more.

Whether you decide to keep or return the bags, don't feel guilty one way or another. They're just bags (said by a true bag lover over here) and are meant to bring a little fun and functionality to our days. They are not to make us feel bad for over-indulging, nor are they something worth regretting if we choose to return them. Enjoy your collection, whether you decide to keep the additional pieces or not. :)

I own 11. Love all 11. Keeping all 11
If I could double like this, I would :-)
I also bought too many Rogue 25s but I will say that when I've sold some in the past, I've then re-bought them (on ebay or the like). While I totally agree that there will always be another bag or leather that grabs our attention, I have a fondness for the 1941 leather. Not to say that some aren't on the chopping block, they are older ones that I'm sure I won't miss. Don't make hasty decisions & keep what you LOVE!
