i have decided to return my azur speedy. the pen marks inside (i found another one looking this morning) are just too much. as much as i want it now i'd rather wait for a perfect one. if anyone wants this one it should be at the houston store soon. lol.

anyway 866 vuitton is having me ship it back. they are sending a fed ex guy tomorrow morning but i may or may not be here when he comes. i will have to have my doorman fill out the form. so...

1. i ship it fed ex ground right?

2. will the fed ex guy have lv's fed ex account number? how does that work?

3. do i or my doorman have to write in the declared value or will the fed ex person?

4. i made a copy of the receipt. i should include the original and keep the copy right?

5. i should require a signature correct? should it be to the SA who sold it to me or could it be anyone there?

i think that's all. thanks. i called 866 vuitton 3 times and am still unclear. i think i need more caffeine. lol

1. i ship it fed ex ground right? LV providing the shipping for you.

2. will the fed ex guy have lv's fed ex account number? how does that work? Yes, the FedEx delivery person will have prefill shipping forms from LV (866)

3. do i or my doorman have to write in the declared value or will the fed ex person? No. It's not necessary LV already has the declared valued on electronic file.

4. i made a copy of the receipt. i should include the original and keep the copy right? Yes, You should make and keep a copy. Original goes back to LV (866)

5. i should require a signature correct? should it be to the SA who sold it to me or could it be anyone there? No, Again LV (866) is taking care of this for you.

I must be confused...I thought when you call 866 and get an item, they locate it from a store that has it in stock?? So can't you just make a return at a boutique? That's what I have done before...or is 866 act as a separate "store" so to speak?

I bought a epi Myrtille PTI wallet from 866 and returned it at an LV boutique. Pretty easy return. The receipt said I was able to return at a boutique. Better for me because I wanted my credit right away.

Well they told me to return it to that one because that way i can get back on the waiting list for a new one. dunno if that would be the case or not if i brought it to another store...

They're not a "store". They will occasionally act as distributors for the boutiques persay.

i have no idea. it's brand new- still has the plastic on the handles. it was JUST out of inventory. i think it might not be pen but be the azur somehow on the inside. it's really odd. in one place it's on the seam so it rubbed off on the bag underneath it

I haven't...yet. But I have a small monogram satin evening bag that my hubby got me from Paris a few years ago and the strap just got broken! Had to do first aid with it since it was the only bag i brought along and now i don't know if i can still bring it back to an LV store? And i was also wondering if i should ask them to replace it since the damage was not because of misuse. I only used it a few times (during formal occassions since the bag is too small for evryday use or travel). I'm from the Phillippines and going back to the store in Paris where he bought it is out of the question.
