Has anybody traveled yet with the Cassie?

I bought the Cassie as a travel bag for Japan; I tired using it for two days and it became obvious that it was too small for me.

I gave it to my daughter who carried it instead. She probably carried it 10 of the days we were away and loved it. I just ordered the black for her as a Christmas gift.

I can see it becoming an issue for longer trips, I used it to run errands and thought it was perfect for a flat style wallet, keys, car fob, phone, energy bar, emergency medication, and some letters I had to mail.

In other words, it's fine if you can adapt to the purse, but the purse might not adapt to the person if you carry a lot of bulky things.

I haven't travelled with her yet, but daily I carry:
•cash and receipts in the back pocket on the inside, could also fit a passport and boarding pass
• extra cash in the zippered pocket
•phone in back slip pocket on the outside
•mini pack of hand wipes, travel tylenol, lip balm, LV rosalie, LV cles, LV pocket organizer in the middle pocket (not over stuffed)
• two coach coin pouches in the front pocket. They're not very thick so they don't distort the bag

I can easily fit another slim item on top of or under the travel hand wipes.

Hope this helps!

It does help and it's somewhat similar to how I do mine:

-inside/back: wallet n passport
-inside/zip: emergency cash
-inside/front: phone
-outside: receipts, mail
-main: keys, car fob, medicine, snacks, and eventually a deck of cards or a Kindle, I'm still testing the Cassie as a sit in Starbucks and read/game type of bag.

I've travelled with the Court bag, which is Cassie's grandmother, and if its longer than a weekend, I tend to take two bags with me- one that is larger, usually a tote, and then a smaller, crossbody style like Cassie to use for day to day sightseeing, day trips, etc. Last trip I had a Tory Burch tote and my NYC Pocket Purse as my go to bags for the entire 3 weeks.

I have asthma and must carry a rescue Spinhaler - a bit larger and quite a bit thicker than a MAC compact. Because of the sections I found the bag just a bit too limiting even with a small trifold wallet. I ended up bringing a Rogue, a LV Neverfull and LV Pochette Accessoires. Even thiugh the Cassie is bigger than the PA, the multi-sections reduce the capacity.

I really like the bag (love the back pocket for my phone) but it was just a hair too small for me.

I completely get it and thinking about picking up a camera bag when I need a bag with less structure, I might grab one from the outlet.

I took my Cassie on vacation and it was great for running around the city. I kept keys, makeup bag, snacks, can drink, wallet and phone in the bag. The only time I switched to a longchamp tote when we did outdoor activities that I wanted to bring my big camera.

Funny you should mention this. I have been holding off for years but then decided to purchase one. Can’t believe how roomy it is. Second time wearing and loving it. Football game tonight.

I bought my cassie with the desire to use it for vacation. My sister uses her pochette metis for cruising. It works perfectly so im sure the cassie will work equally

My hope is to use the Cassie for cruising as well. The reason I even posed this question is because a good friend of mine uses a Sadie as her personal carry-on item and she swears by it; she travels for business so if it is functional enough to meet those demands, what can go wrong with a slightly bigger bag like a Cassie? A lot as a few people have pointed out. I might have to carry Cassie in a tote so it can be removed easily, not unlike the pouches many totes have for this purpose, it'll just be my own pouch and not the included ones, many are poorly designed imo.

As to the Camera bag, can you believe I'm still on the fence? I don't really like the present designs/straps but the previews of next spring's collections are giving me some hope, so I'm holding out. I'm also concerned I will be doing a lot of digging around looking for things in a big with no structure.

As far as Cassie being too small. That's been my issue with Coach products in general and Cassie was the first one that I didn't have this problem. SLG's, wristlets, and wallet on a chain products are the main culprit, if Coach says it will hold 12 cards, I know to cut it by half. Just because they put in the slots doesn't mean it can hold 12 cards in real life situations and I question whether some of their products are ever extensively tested. If I put in the maximum number of cards Coach states something will hold it will end up looking like George's exploding wallet on Seinfeld and completely ruin the product .
