Okay girls I've noticed looking through the forum that I don't hear anything about the Harper bag that Michael kors makes. I think it's a really cute bag it says it's made out of leather but it doesn't say what kind of leather that it's made out of... What do you think about this bag do you think it will keep its shape and the leather quality on it? Does anyone out there Own a Harper? I would love to see your model pics of it[emoji171][emoji171][emoji171][emoji8][emoji8]

I've seen it in listings and it's beautiful, but I get distracted with other bags! Here's a post of another user that has quite a few :-)😉 this is the Tote, but I haven't seen any of the Harper satchel.

P. S. I read somewhere that it was an MK exclusive, so maybe it could explain it's lack of exposure?

It has softer leather but not the vitelo leather. It seems very durable! I just didn't like the flaps on the sides but it's a cute bag. I have only seen it at MK as well, but I chose the Ava over this bag. Looks pretty in gray though! And black!

Personally, I prefer the Tote over the satchel. Those flaps aren't my preference either, but it's still gorgeous :D:thumbup:

I have owned a Harper Tote and it is a beautiful bag. They hold their shape quite nicely. I also sold a few Harpers on ebay and they would always get many bids on them and did quite well. A couple of times there were ladies fighting over them in bidding wars! lol! The auctions often went for well over my original asking price! The reason being is because they can be difficult to find any more, and they are very attractive looking bags. .

They come in the East West and North South ( medium or large) versions. I believe the E/W is the larger one. They also have them available as Speechios, which has the pretty silver outlining.

My experiences with Michael Kors bags, between shoppers on ebay, and on this forum, is like night and day. Most of the topics here favor the Saffiano bags such as Hamltons, Selmas and Suttons, etc.. On ebay, they ( saffianos) didn't sell as well as some of my soft leather bags, such as the Harper.

So just because you don't see a lot of hoopla about it here, doesn't mean it's not popular. It is VERY popular actually and many ladies have them and just love them. I liked mine very much as well and always got a lot of compliments on it, but I am a big finatic about having outside pockets on my bags, so I wasn't using it much and ended up selling it. However, the leather was fabulous and it held up VERY well. Hope this helps.

I agree. I prefer the Totes as well. That version doesn't look anything like the original Harper. The chains on both sides is what gave the bag some style and bling. I can't imagine why they took that away.

I love the Ava especially in blush just like yours but I perfer the medium size, I wish Macys would have the medium especially with the sale . Because it would be mine :graucho:

Thank you so much that's great to know I really like it but never really checked one out in the store and held it it just looked really nice I want an electric blue bag I was going to go with the large Selma but then saw it and thought about it the only thing is if I don't like it was wondering if Macy's would let me exchange it for the Selma and still have 25 percent off

I spoke to several sa's in both dillards and macy's yesterday and electric blue will be back on the floor as soon as they can unbox everything. Hamiltons, selma's, jet set's are all coming in electric blue. I want an electric blue lrg selma, 6pm has them on sale but I prefer to see saffiano bags in person because of wonky stitching etc..I plan to just wait till the end of the month and buy one instore. I bought a sapphire n/s hammie a long while back but it didn't wow me so I returned it. I do like the harper tote but the satchel looks kinda small to me. The studded electric blue selma in medium is already in dillards but I prefer a large.

I was looking at the Harper Satchel today at the MK store. It is very cute and exclusive to MK stores. Wonder if this is why it is not very popular as these do not go on sale as often as the dept store bags?
