Hardware Tarnishing... Is this normal?

Hi everyone. I was just taking a closer look at my birkin and realized that the little studs on my ghw is a darker color... The plate itself is fine but is this normal? Can this be polished?

I've only had the birkin for about 4 months or so.

I personally think it’s normal. The brushed hardware on my SO B developed tarnishing like this very quickly. My other bags don’t seem to have it though. It doesn’t really bother me...
If it concerns you, perhaps take it into your local store and ask?
