Polar Bear: I come in Peace

Norbert Rosing's striking images of a wild polar bear coming upon
tethered sled dogs in the wilds of Canada 's Hudson Bay.

The photographer was sure that he was going to see the end of his dogs when
the polar bear wandered in.

It ' s hard to believe that this polar bear only needed to hug someone!

The Polar Bear
returned every night that week to play with the dogs.

Now about that story and those pictures (that I can't see). It sounds real touching and all, but Rosing thought the polar bear was gonna eat his dogs and all he did was take pictures? He didn't have a gun out there in the wilds of Canada? He couldn't spare a warning shot bullet or two for his dogs? lol

I'm glad the bear just needed a hug and not a snack, but Dang Norbert.

^^^Awwww, that was cute. They musta recognized each other from a past life. lol

Polar bears aren't usually that amicable though, especially not hungry ones. And that one hadn't eaten in 4 months? Yeah they were probably chipmunk brothers last time around. lol

hee! perhaps so. I, myself, would never want to run into a hungry polar bear, but he sure does look cute in the pics with the dog.
