I love my luggage (large) hamilton so much, I would like to get one in black.
So I have to choose between Black Patent or Black (regular) leather. They are both beautiful and I also think they would both wear really well regardless of the weather. What do you gals think?
Also, does the black look better with Silver or Gold hardware??? I wear silver/White Gold jewelry, but I don't care if my jewelry matches.
I think the gold hardware looks richer (as in the gold is a richer color), but I like silver too! Please help! Should I get Patent or Leather, Silver or Gold hardware????
All opinions welcome and thank you for your help!!!

OMG, this is such a no brainer for me - are you ready?

Black patent Hamilton with gold hardware!!!!!!! :nuts: Have you ever seen this combo? I did and just about died. You have to get that!!!

I'm not usually a fan of patent, but like so many other things Michael Kors does, he does an awesome job of patent. And since you already have the silver hardware on the luggage, I totally think you should get gold the next time so you can have one with each.

I'll try to find a picture of it, I assume it's the large one you want, right?

That's my opinion anyway since you asked. :D

Thanks for finding the picture. She is a beauty!!! I was leaning towards the gold hardware, however, I don't own a black bag (patent or leather) with silver hardware, that's why I'm so confused. I originally wasn't interested in the patent, just wanted regular leather, but then I started thinking (which always gets me in trouble!), the patent was really pretty and I only have 1 black patent bag in my collection (RM MAM quilted) and I don't use it very much at all.
Would this bag in patent be a good year around bag? Can you use it in spring/summer?
I saw it IRL today when I was out shopping with my Mom and DD (Mom needed a new winter coat, and unlike me, she HATES shopping, so I act as her personal shopper!). Well I ran the bags to the car before we had lunch and snuck into MK and saw the patent. I couldn't go play with it or anything as Mom and DD were waiting for me, but it was stunning! I called MK when I got home and they have it in both gold and silver hardware - decisions, decisions!

I have the black leather hamilton with gold and I absolutely LOVE it. It has been my go to bag for work and big shopping trips.

To tell you the truth, I'm not a huge fan of patent on purses. I've had one bad experience with patent ripping by accident and ever since then I've completely avoided it! (It might have been my own negligence though...they were these cute red round-toe Jlo pumps!) Also, I think you should consider which material would go with your wardrobe. I also thought the gold made the bag better..(only my opinion again)

If you would like pics of my bag/modeling pics let me know...I know it's a hard decision but it's just up to personal taste. That patent one up there looks nice too :)

I prefer the regular black leather Hamilton with silver hardware.

I didn't care for the patent leather they used this past season; it seemed thin to me. (No offense to anyone who owns it...just my opinion.)

Also, IMO patent leather is for late fall / winter when the weather is bad.

I prefer the silver hardware as well......whenever I have a choice between gold or silver hardware on a purse, I always choose silver. I do prefer white gold over yellow gold jewelry as well, but my jewelry doesnt have to match my purse. IMO there is no classier look than a black bag with silver hardware! Good luck with your decision!
