For those of you who have had your Hamiltons for a while, have you noticed if the leather has gotten any softer or more "worn in" with time?

I really want my Hamilton to get a bit slouchier, the leather is so stiff right now.

Thanks!

See I'm the exact opposite. I have tons of slouchy leather bags, and the thing I like about the Hamilton is that it is a stiffer leather that tends to hold it's shape better. To me the Hamilton is a more structured bag. It's not super structured, but it has a nice shape and I really want it to keep that shape. Hobos and shoulder bags are meant to be slouchy but for me, I like satchels to have more structure.

Anyway, I rotate my bags a lot, so none of them get tons of use, but even my black Hamilton which I've had since last summer has retained it's shape, but TBH it's probably only had 2 -3 weeks of use if that.

When I was in the MK boutique last week, the SA told me that the leather does get slouchy over time with additional use. I don't have a Hamilton so I don't know from personal experience.

I have a black N/S Hamilton. When I purchased it, the leather was softer than others I had seen and the texture was more "pebbled". I have been using it non-stop since January and it has gotten softer and more "slouchy" with use. I also have a luggage hamilton, which I haven't used yet (not sure if I'm keeping her since I have the Croc Peanut hamilton also). The luggage is much stiffer and my SA also told me to help break it in I should put something in it with some weight, but not too much weight and then hang it on a door knob.
I think the N/S hamiltons with slouch, but I don't see that happening with the E/W hamiltons. I think it is due to the tall height of the N/S. Hope that helps.

To prevent slouching or sagging in leathers try using a purse organizer of some sort. It helps "hold up" the structure of the purse so when you set it down it will never fall over onto itself! Purseket makes great ones that I use. Plus you will be super organized!
