Michael Kors Hamilton - heavy?

I love the hamilton line! In fact I have four purses from the line. I would like to ask those who have the hamilton satchel/tote. Is it just me or is this bag heavy?

I love Mk but most of his leather bags are on the heavy side and I find myself with a neck and back ache at the end of the day...

That won't stop me from buying more of his purses though! Lol!

They are heavy! This is the 1st time i've traveled w/ the bag and I couldnt tell which was heavier, my luggage or my xl Hamilton.

I agree as well. The Hamiltons are on the heavier side compared to other bags that are the same size. The leather is very thick which really puts alot of weight on the bag. In addition, the longer shoulder strap with the chain, and also the lock in the front add a good amount of weight. I find that it tires my arm out when I carry it like that so sometimes I sling it on my shoulder. But in general, it is a heavy bag. I love the leather that is used but I hope that they can find a way to reduce the weight.

I have 2 of the medium size (EW) and I don't find them heavy and I do not like heavy bags. I'm sure the large ones are indeed heavy though. Guess I'm glad I like smaller bags!

I have (3) N/S Hamiltons and I find them very comfortable to carry. I don't think they are heavy and I carry quite a bit in my bags - JMO. I usually carry it in my hand or on my arm, I only through it on my shoulder (with the two handles) if I need both hands temporarily. I bought my black with GHW the end of January and I have not carried another bag since. I absolutely love it!

I don't find it too heavy but then again, I've always preferred to carry big bags so it's nothing new ... I get how it is "heavy" though.

You can think of it as an arm weight
