Michael Kors Hamilton handle issues!

Hello there ! I am hoping you can offer some advice/comments about how the hamilton handles wear over time. I work at a resale store and have had 2 hamiltons in pebbled leather come in, one e/w and one n/s from 2 different owners and the handles were bending and creasing near the bag and also seemed misshapen. They were authentic. It is hard to describe but it's almost like the handles had areas that were not stuffed anymore, if that makes sense.

I recently purchased a signature vanilla e/w and a violet e/w saffiano. I'm concerned about the handles I have seen on the used bags. I also looked on eBay for used ones and alot of the handles looked bad. I am very picky about handles and I am wondering if the saffiano will do better over time. I am thinking about returning the signature one but I am wondering what you all have experienced.

This was addressed at length in another post some time ago. It seems that the cording/tubing or whatever is inside the leather of the handles can break off and separate at the point you describe. With the tote, I wonder if it tends to get too filled at times because of its large size. I've heard of so many women using it for a school bag and/or carrying their laptop in it. I've had no problems with my satchels and I just got my first N/S tote, which I don't plan to over stuff because it's already a heavy bag. If I ever have this problem with my handles, though, I'll take it to my MK boutique to see if they can be repaired.
