Michael Kors Hamilton 18k Gold Hardware??

I was browsing Zappos and they said that the gold hardware hamiltons are "18K gold-plated hardware."

Is this really true?

I know Zappos is a trusted website but I've never heard this

I see this on a lot of websites and I somehow doubt it's true. If it were, you'd think the GHW Hamiltons would be more expensive than the SHW Hamiltons.
