I buy from several Japan-based sellers regularly. I think you just have to be careful, no matter where the seller is based. I usually pass on those sellers who are iffy or have strange partial photos. But I don't write off sellers if they happen to have one fake. They probably get conned too.

This seller has sold this fake Tyger scarf (it never came in 140 silk) three times already. This is already the fourth relisting. One unknowing buyer has even left positive feedback about hers.

I reported the previous listings to eBay, but they've yet to stir themselves.

Really sad to see that this seller can continuously been selling this scarf and reporting to eBay has not done anything.

I noticed a number of fakes on REAL REAL too. Including Awooooo cashmere silk scarves in 70 cm size; a friend bought one and it was returned. I thought it only been issued as a 100 cm Men's silk. Please have scarves authenticated on the authentication thread. Fortunately RR has a return policy as well when it comes to scarves.

Edited: a trusted source has stated that AWOOOOO has been issued as a 70 cm as a special Edition scarf that was issued with a watch. Mea Culpa.

And some discrepancies noted for example 1) the tag was sewn mid way from the corner, 2)the measurements are “off” - advertised as a 36” but measured 52” x 53”.. plus many more. Also, was there a cashmere/silk for this design?
