I've worn it with a light jacket and it fits okay. I haven't tried it with a heavy coat as it's not been that cold here. BTW, it's incredibly lightweight worn with the shoulder strap, almost like you're not carrying anything.

I've worn it with my heavy, lined wool peacoat (pics are in my photos here on tPF), and it fits great, with plenty of room.

I havent tried it yet here in the good ole midwest,but will trying that over my leather coat fairly soon i would imagine. im outside of Chicago and it gets damn cold here in Winter.
