I think you should cut it! I recently cut my hair...for years it had been long - down past my bra strap. Like you, I was just bored with it. I got a "long" version of an assymetrical bob and I LOVE it (as does everyone else - even the people that were screaming NO don't cut it!!) It is right above collar length in the back and it slopes down to almost my collarbone in the front. I haven't regretted it for a second either. Maybe tomorrow I can post some before and afters.
