I stopped by a Marshall's today on a whim because we have no Michael Kors store or outlet nearby. They had a large bag called a Kenton that was TDF. It was buttery soft and smooth dark brown leather with braided handles and gold hardware and lacing down each side of the front and back. It was a good sized bag that had a leather strap that snapped to hold the sides in and a magnetic snap to hold the top together.

It was half price at $249 and I was SO tempted. I walked around the store for about half an hour with it on my shoulder and walked past every mirror I could find. Each time I did, I thought, "Now THAT'S a sharp bag!" But I JUST bought a Michael Michael Kors bag that I've been using for less than a week (I haven't even taken pics to post yet!). And a bag that doesn't close securely across the top just isn't right for me, no matter how beautiful it is.

But I just wanted to share my sadness. This bag was AMAZING. The leather seemed such a high quality to not be a Michael Kors bag and instead to be a Michael Michael Kors. I don't know when the Kenton was from, but between the quality of that bag and the amazing style of the Hamiltons, Michale Kors has REALLY stepped up his game. I think I am more interested in more Michael Kors bags than in Coach...

I can feel how much you really liked this bag but I commend you for putting it back. You are smart, knowing that even though it is a beautiful bag you knew it was not a good purchase for you since you like your bags to close securely. I think you did the right thing. At least you were able to walk around the store with it for a bit :D
I have go agree with you on MK, my man has stepped up and making some really well made bags. He is my latest addiction. I just picked up two pairs of his sunglasses while on vacation. I love me some Michael Kors!

I'm really not here to crap on Coach - I have maybe 10 and love each and every one, but. . . . when I walk into Coach and then immediately head to the Michael Kors store, well for me, there just isn't any comparison. I think for me it's what Coach has done once the Fall/Winter bags hit - they just didn't do it for me anymore. But I do love all the ones I own - I actually thought about getting rid of some, but I really do love them all.

I know how hard it is to put a bag back, but sometimes you just have to be sensible, and kudos to you for recognizing that!!

And let's see the one you haven't posted pics of yet!!!!!!!!

I wasn't so self-controlled today at Marshall's - haha! Came out with a camel suede studded large chain satchel and I keep walking around the house with it deciding whether or not to cut off the tags! :( It's so pretty. But I just bought an LV, and it's on it's way. I'm being silly. I should ban myself. I think though if you still want it tomorrow, you should go get it. You only live once. :D

I know how you feel. It's sooo hard to not buy a beautiful bag at a good price. I found a Michael Kors Leather Westbury in a beautiful peanutbutter color. It was a small bag, but was very roomy inside. There was a small glue mark on the pipping, so the sales associate reduced it from $159 to $144. I thought about the many bags I have that I never wear and didn't buy the bag. However, it's been a week and I'm still thinking about it. I guess that's the downfall of being a handbag addict...LOL.
