Hi everyone!

I am after a Bolduc de Carre shawl, but unfortunately the Melbourne store here doesn't have any and can't order one in for me :(

So, I was wondering if anyone knows of any SAs and/or H stores from the US or Europe that will ship a shawl out to me in Australia?

I would like to know the same thing! I'm after a black box Kelly wallet with gold hardware, there's nothing like this available in Australia. Does anyone know if France or anywhere else in Europe would be willing to ship internationally for a small leather item?

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask but since you are thinking of shipping H into Australia, do you know anything about import tax and how they are imposed? Getting stuff into New Zealand I almost always ended up paying up to 25% in taxes sometimes 30%..... :push: I am just wondering if this is typically NZ or Australia is similar.... Thanks!

bagpunk, anything above A$1000 imported into Oz is subject to duties. Here's how the tax is computed in Oz (from the Customs website):

"The Customs value is combined with other items (customs duty, international transport and insurance costs and, where applicable, Wine Equalisation Tax) to produce the value of the taxable importation (VoTI). The Customs value is equivalent to the Australian currency purchase price of the goods. An example of how the duty and GST on goods valued at A$1000 is calculated:

Customs value 1,000.00
Customs duty @ 5% x $1,000 50.00 (Payable)
International transport and insurance 150.00
VoTI 1,200.00
GST @ 10% x $1,200 120.00 (Payable)
Total payable (Customs duty + GST) 170.00"
