H stop taking orders for Birkin?

Hello there!
Today I wanted to order a birkin bag in Frankfurt. But SA told me that now they temporary stop taking orders for birkin bags. And not only in Germany, in Europe at all.
Then I called in 5 different H stores, and they told me the same.
Is that truth? Does anybody know?
