Are the prices for the H bags in France cheaper then in Switzerland?

I will pass a few weeks in France in octobre. I'm planing to have a look for my first Birkin and a Bolide. Where should I buy it?

I think for certain items, France is cheaper than other countries but not by much. It is my understanding that Birkin is the same price throughout all Euro Europe. However, Switzerland uses Swiss Francs, so not sure how that will work out for you.

There is a pricing thread for Birkin/Kelly in the Shopping section. Perhaps you can check it out depending on your models.

Thank you hanyeu! Yes, Swiss francs and Euros are different, so it depends of the exchange rate and Switzerland has also to buy taxes for the products of the EU, because we aren't an EU member.

Hi atlantique, yes H in Switzerland is more expensive than in France, esp. given the current exchange rate. I used to ask the price for a 35 Birkin and it's about SFr 9,300, which is about EUR6,160! Considering that a 35 Birkin costs about EUR5,650 plus you can get 10% tax refund, so it's just a bit more than EUR5,000. I'd consider this difference of more than EUR1,000 quite big!

Thank you very much gemibebe! So 1000 Euro are a lot more and it would be worth to buy it in France! The problem is, to find a Birkin!;) But I'll have a look at different stores in France next month.

Between the non euro states and the euro states there's usually a substantial difference for Hermès prices no matter if they are a part of the union or not whether it be switzerland or Denmark. The only exception at the moment would be the UK due to the dramatic changes in the economy in the past year.
