Hi, I have a question.. figuring a purse fashionista would know way more than I do!

My mom left me a few designer handbags (she passed away 15 years ago and I am just now going through her things) that are simply gorgeous. There is a snakeskin bag, and an alligator one...both with an "H" gold clasp...but the "H" does not have the same "feet" (or serif) that a typical Hermes logo has...does anyone have the name of another designer I could look up to see if the "H" matches their logo? I've searched a ton but found no clues.

There are no other identifiers in the bags either...no embossed brand names, or date stamp. I am stumped as to who the designer might be. They are prob from the 1970s or earlier. A Hermes masquerade?

Thanks for any advice you can offer.
