I found a beautiful Gulliver HAC 32 that I am considering sight unseen. I am still looking for a smooth barenia HAC but, having searched for years and come up empty, I’m expanding my possibilities and this bag looks really beautiful. I have seen and love swift (though I don’t yet own a swift bag, I adore smooth and light leathers) and have never seen Gulliver in person. I’ve researched and know they’re related but slightly different skins, and wondering if y’all could chime in on the weight of Gulliver and also if you think it’d be nice for an HAC? Thanks!

Batches of Swift compared to each other, Gulliver to Gulliver and Swift to Gulliver will be on average the same for same bag, same size.

Because of the original height of a Gulliver/Swift HAC bag compared with the cut-down Birkin, an HAC will look softer once set down. More processed leathers will be better for retaining pristine structure. However, when carried, gravity will unsure it returns to shape.

This is great! Thank you. Would you expect Gulliver to completely collapse like some very soft/used birkins do (ie from the “flooopy” thread) or would you think it just would slouch a bit? Would you consider Gulliver to be a good choice weight wise (if I’m ok with the softness) to offset the larger size? Or am I wrong that a swift/Gulliver bag would be on the very light side?

It can't completely 'collapse' because it has equidistant side-seams.

Swift/Gulliver is in the middle of H bag weights per leather. I have a Swift bag in a travel size (45) it's manageable even filled, and I'm an average strength woman.
