Guilloche vs. MOP necklace? Help me decide🙏🏻

Hi, this is my first VCA post!
I ordered the vintage MOP alhambra & yg guilloche pendants online, and both came today. I can only keep one and need some help deciding which one.

My first piece was the carnelian vintage pendant, and I love it and have worn it to death; but I was itching to add a MOP pendant so I got the sweet butterfly necklace as my second piece. However, I still find myself drawn to the vintage alhambra.

The guilloche would be my first solid gold piece from VCA, and I thought it would be overpowering but it’s actually the perfect size for daily wear.

I’m including some pics of myself wearing both, and layered them with my other two pieces as well.
And quick question: does the MOP look okay? The last pic shows a streak of green running across, and I don’t know if that’s normal.

I'm not sure if you are saying that you already have the carnelian and butterfly necklaces, and now you are deciding whether to add the MOP alhambra or guilloche alhambra as a third piece, OR, if you are saying that you have the carnelian and are trying to decide between the butterfly, MOP alhambra, or guilloche alhambra as a second piece.

Either way, my vote would be to add the butterfly mop first (if you haven't already). It fits both your interest in MOP and is very different from the carnelian necklace. Next, I would add the guilloche alhambra. I see less need for two MOP necklaces, and the gold is much more versatile. I find the detail in the guilloche design to be extremely beautiful and interesting. It is much more of a design statement.

No wrong choices here though! Anything you choose will be beautiful.

Quick question for you: does the butterfly have anything on it identifying it as VCA? I ask because I'm considering it as a gift for someone. The website doesn't show the back. Thanks!

I have the vintage carnelian and sweet mop butterfly pendants already. Thanks for your comment, I’m leaning towards the guilloche since I don’t have any like it in my collection and is beautiful.

Wow both the guilloche & MOP vintage Alhambra look stunning with your sweet butterfly! Definitely an inspiration, thanks for posting! I don’t think you can go wrong but given that you already have MOP in your collection I vote guilloche!

While I chose Guilloche, just a thought.
Watching reviews on Youtube, I've noticed that a common issue among people who found out that the Guilloche didn't work out for them was the weight. Many of them felt that the weight of all the gold was too heavy for them, especially the longer they wore it throughout the day.
This may or may not be an issue for you. Just fyi. :smile:
