I’m looking to buy a key pouch to carry some cards, cash and hang my keys off. I’ve been hearing that the LV quality has been going down the last couple years. Just wanted to know if anyone has both and can speak to the wear and tear of both, as the Gucci is $100 more and I’m wondering if it’s worth it. Thanks!

I personally love my LV one and see no real quality issues except for the gold colour slowly rubbing off on the hardware at some point.. but that is to be expected with hardware that only has a gold coloured film over it so I don‘t really mind it

I have both a gucci key pouch in brown gg leather from several years ago and an LV de key pouch bought maybe a year or two after. The gucci has held up better and the hardware looks WAY better than that of the LV. My LV canvas looks ok except for some rubbing on the corners but the hardware (key hook) has chipping and the zipper pull looks pretty bad. I know these things can be replaced or repaired but don't see myself making a special trip for that. Both are used as small wallets for me on a daily basis and have been for, say, 8 or so years. In my experience of owning bags and smaller items from both brands, Gucci hardware definitely holds up better and is of better quality from the get go. The hardware used by LV is pretty embarrassing for the price we pay. Not sure what's going on there. But I do use and enjoy both. Quality wise, I'd say Gucci.

I got a Gucci cles from the Gucci Outlet (shown here - Disclaimer: This is a link to a YouTube video on my channel) instead of the LV one, because I didn't like that you could see through the stitches on the bottom of the cles.

It was $239 + tax, and instead of canvas, it's all leather! It also has piping around the edges, instead of just being folded in on itself, which I think provides a much cleaner look. I love it and definitely am glad I got the Gucci version instead of LV.
