I purchased a bag on the phone from the
Gucci store in Chicago. It was shipped to me since I don’t live by a store, but I would like to return it because the quality isn’t up to par. I know I need to ship it back, but I keep calling and either no one answers or they put me on hold for 20-30 mins until I hang up. Should I just ship it back and hope for the best? I don’t want to not get my money back, but I keep calling and no one is responding. Thanks in advance!
I would ship it back via a reliable and trackable method, and make sure it's insured for the value of the bag (I'd use FedEx or UPS)....would also do signature confirmation. I make a copy of the receipt, and include a note that you are returning the bag for a refund, "ATTN: your SA's name". Email your SA who facilitated the sale to let him/her know that you're making a return for a refund back to your original form of payment. Take the package to the appropriate drop off point, but go when open (no dropbox!), and get a receipt showing you mailed the return with tracking number. Once you see it's received, you can email the SA and make sure you get your refund. If you have any issues getting your refund after the tracking shows delivered, you can call
Gucci customer service at the number on the website. They have helped me resolve store issues in the past. I believe you have 30 days from order date to get the bag back to them for a refund.
Can you call CS to facilitate the return? Maybe they can contact the store. I bet they won’t get put on hold for 30 mins.
