Happy new year all !
Over the summer my partner bought me the medium Gucci Dionysus GG shoulder bag. It’s sat in its box since September and has never been used. I’m wondering if anyone has any experience with Gucci taking an exchange or return for an unopened bag months later ? TIA !
I remember my ex was really good at this and even tho a SA would refuse saying that its too late he would convince them in the end because he'd come up with a clever excuse (usually out of town for a long trip and wasnt able to return until later on and would sort of persist). A lot of companies are being lenient right now so you can use the whole COVID thing as a reason for you not being able to return it right away. Gucci even extended their return policy when the whole COVID thing started to I believe 60 or 90 days but changed it back to 30. Personally, I returned an item 2 months later (and passed the deadline) to Burberry last year and they had no problem. I recommend you call them up tomorrow and say that you were unable to do it during COVID time because you felt that your health was being compromised and therefore could not leave the house. If one person says no, try a few others. Good luck.
If you're a very good client (or BF is) of a certain store and they are still selling the style you may be able to talk them into an exchange.
If there's not much purchase history, or if it was bought online your chances are even slimmer.
I doubt if they will buy Covid as an excuse unless you contacted the store/SA earlier and they've been closed thereby depriving you of the opportunity to physically exchange.
I bought the marmont wallet at their store in the airport, but it had chaffing with few days of use. I was able to return it at their store near my place. They sent it for repair, eventually they gave me store credit.
