Hello everyone! I’ve tried searching but can’t find the answers.. I bought some Princetown slippers last week and after 2 wears the soles are already looking pretty damaged. Has anyone taken theirs to be re-soled in the hopes they will last longer?
TIA x

That surprises me. I have several pair and never had an issue. In fact, I took mine to Rome thinking I would just wear them on the plane but they ended up more comfortable than my sneakers so I walked all over Rome/Venice/Florence in them. That pair still looks great!

The outer surface will always scuff as they're leather. This may make them look worse than they are, it's actually the natural process of leather soles and it could be nothing's wrong. With continual wearing they will build a new 'skin' which protects them and makes them less porus.

I have a rubber sole put on my all my loafers before wearing. Not really for damage control but just for safety. A good shoemaker can resole Princetowns if needed but that should be after months ad months of wear.

I always resole my shoes as well. In certain climates or if you walk on abrasive surfaces a lot, shoes with leather soles wont last more than a month of every other day use unless you resole them...
