Gucci order clearance delay

I live in Canada and already had to pay $40 in express shipping. Today while tracking my package I saw that there is a clearance delay. I saved up for this bag for months and I’m concerned I’ll have to pay extra in duties.
Does anyone have any experience shipping from gucci to Canada?

You might be charged a brokerage fee. Possibly up to a hundred or hundreds. I got slammed with 175 dollars of brokerage fees on my last order of two decorative pillows. As for duties, it’s possible since you are buying the item through the US.

Update: I finally got a hold of Gucci and they said that the $40 covers any fees that you would have to pay at customs, the rep also said they have their own brokerage that picks it up. So no additional fees besides the $40. What a relief!!

EVERYTIME I have ordered from the Gucci website, there has been a "Clearance Delay". I wish they would stop using FedEx. When I call the FedEx people, they say that I need to authorize FedEx as my customs broker, hence the delay (I'm actually not even sure if that is the cause for delay, because I assume people get their package eventually without having to call). I don't get why that is a customer's responsibility. One time, I had to fill in a Power of Attorney form for this, which is extra work for no reason at all.

And once, FedEx did something very unprofessional. I used the tracking number provided by Gucci, and FedEx said my package was worth around $49000 CDN. It was actually a collective of all of the packages shipped that day to Canada, not just my package, but this information should have been kept confidential because now I know how much Gucci sold during the online pre-sale.

DHL has been really good at delivering packages. Always in 2 days, with no delays.

I got my Gucci bag from Fedex box ripped wide open. The Fedex carrier dropped it off (probably) making sure side was not ripped facing me when I signed. Was so scared my bag would not be inside when I saw the huge hole luckily it was there. Updates also said clearence delays aswell but only lasted 1 day. All together shipping was fast less then a week to Vancouver.

Yep wouldn’t recommend ordering online if you can’t help it. FedEx left my Gucci package on the door. I was not happy! My sephora order at the same time required a signature beats me why my Gucci package wouldn’t [emoji849]
