Hi ladies,

If you had to pick one which one would it be?

Gucci large 'sukey' in black fabric material
or
Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM in Damier Ebene

I vote for the LV Neverfull. It is a workhorse bag, as well as being an iconic style of LV.

The GG fabric on the Sukey will start showing wear if you don't baby it, which makes it less durable than the LV. I have a Gucci wallet made of the same material, but I stopped using it since it started fraying and napping.

I'm no help, I love both of those bags. I would go into those 2 designer boards here. I've read several times on the LV board about how the trim on the ebene neverfull cracks.

Will this be your first bag? If not, then ho for the one you like more, but if it's your first designer purchase then I say go for the LV as I personally think that it's better. After all, Gucci has an outlet and LV does not, so if it's your first, mind as well get one more exclusive. :)

I love both bags (I own pieces from both lines). I like the Sukey better as far as shape, but I wouldn't by Gucci canvas. It shows wear REALLY quickly. The Guccissima leather version is to die for though.

I'd go for the Neverfull. Some people have had some problem with cracking handles on the Damier Ebene, but not everyone by a long shot.

I only own leather Gucci. I see that particular style of LV every where I go. I'm not too crazy about the thin straps for a bag that size and question why LV chose them. Since they are two completely different shapes, I would keep my mind open to other styles as well. You should consider Gucci's leather bags and not worry about weather. They withstand everything!

So I'm thinking I'm getting the NF. I did see a Balenciaga and oooooh man I'm in love. I've only seen them in pictures and on Saturday I was able to try one one and yup I fell in love big time.

I hope you don't get one with the cracking/peeling straps! I had my NF for only four months and it was cracking in two places. I took it in for repairs and it's been a little over a month now and still no word on what's going on...
