Hello all!
So I need to vent my experience with Gucci online... privileged first-world problems, I know.. but here I go anyway...

First of all, what is up with the inconsistent sizing on shoes, within the same brand?? I find that this is common with many top design names (I'm a 38.5 in Valentino sandals, a 39 in their slides, and a 40 in the heels:confused1:). I got 2 pairs of the Gucci Ace sneakers in a 37.5 (already that makes no sense) and so when I ordered the Guccissima sneakers from the Gucci site last week I figured that was my Gucci sneaker size. Turns out NO! I received them and could't even get them past my toes, leaving me feeling like one of the evil stepsisters from Cinderella.

Called Gucci customer service, and spoke to a very blah sounding rep who couldn't offer much advice on correct sizing except to order up a half size. That made no sense as I told her they weren't tight, I couldn't even get them on!! Might as well have asked my 2 year old for advice. Anyway. U would think thy would have a size equivalency chart or something, seeing as it's no secret that the Ace sneakers already are not well sized.

Went back online and ordered them in 38.5 and 39. Now I'm doubly-triply p*ssed because Gucci charges a 40$ shipping fee, and no free returns. I'm already out 40$, now have to pay to send them back (not cheap!) and have paid shipping AGAIN and will have to return one more pair. AAAAARGH GUCCIIIIII!!!

On top of it, they use Fedex which in my personal experience really suck.. One of the pairs was supposed to arrive today but has been held up because they "requested non-express clearance". Well what the heck did I just pay a 40$ Express Shipping fee for???

Ok I feel a tiny bit better now that I got this out, lol.... Sorry for the mini-tantrum, but TPF is cheaper than therapy!:heart:

Honestly I’ve learned the hard way not to order anymore luxury goods online. I’ve had 3,000 dollar handbags that were just left with no signature, messed up orders, horrible returns. I’m only buying stuff in person now. Also Gucci.com is one of the worst sites I’ve dealt with. Hope everything works out for you!

Really sorry for all those problems. I bought a pair of boots a year ago and was upset they were gone in my usual size (39) so ordered the only pair left in 40. Happily, by sheer good luck they fit perfectly and a 39 would have been too small.

Gucci has had new shoemaker factories (and lasts) for the past 3 years, I hope all this odd sizing is a 'catching-up' or teething problems. I can understand how pointy and heeled shoes could vary in comparison to sneakers but not so much with similar styles of shoes.

In my experience there is not a brand that exists that every shoe style they offer fits the same way, just how it is. I have noticed that the sizing that Gucci offers it the best guide but still, who knows? I order designer goods shipped in all of the time and it is a guess and looking at reviews of others consumers that help me decide on sizing. One other tip is calling a boutique, they probably have tried the shoe on multiple customers and can give you sizing advice. It doesn’t always work out, sometimes I am out the shipping charges.

I totally understand your frustrations.
I ordered christian louboutin heels in a 39 and it felt like someone was breaking off my toes . I was so upset because I really budgeted to make that purchase and now have to wait even longer to get a bigger size. It is frustrating!

Good to know.

Oh dear! So sad to hear this! I hope it all got resolved in the end.
Where about are you, as GUCCI does offer free shipping here in the UK and free returns for that matter. I had to return my Jordaans l. The courier -DPD- not only picked them up the same day, I also got my refund the very next day! Was super impressed with GUCCI customer service.
