Hello all!
So I need to vent my experience with Gucci online... privileged first-world problems, I know.. but here I go anyway...
First of all, what is up with the inconsistent sizing on shoes, within the same brand?? I find that this is common with many top design names (I'm a 38.5 in Valentino sandals, a 39 in their slides, and a 40 in the heels
). I got 2 pairs of the Gucci Ace sneakers in a 37.5 (already that makes no sense) and so when I ordered the Guccissima sneakers from the Gucci site last week I figured that was my Gucci sneaker size. Turns out NO! I received them and could't even get them past my toes, leaving me feeling like one of the evil stepsisters from Cinderella.
Called Gucci customer service, and spoke to a very blah sounding rep who couldn't offer much advice on correct sizing except to order up a half size. That made no sense as I told her they weren't tight, I couldn't even get them on!! Might as well have asked my 2 year old for advice. Anyway. U would think thy would have a size equivalency chart or something, seeing as it's no secret that the Ace sneakers already are not well sized.
Went back online and ordered them in 38.5 and 39. Now I'm doubly-triply p*ssed because Gucci charges a 40$ shipping fee, and no free returns. I'm already out 40$, now have to pay to send them back (not cheap!) and have paid shipping AGAIN and will have to return one more pair. AAAAARGH GUCCIIIIII!!!
On top of it, they use Fedex which in my personal experience really suck.. One of the pairs was supposed to arrive today but has been held up because they "requested non-express clearance". Well what the heck did I just pay a 40$ Express Shipping fee for???
Ok I feel a tiny bit better now that I got this out, lol.... Sorry for the mini-tantrum, but TPF is cheaper than therapy!
