Hi Everyone

I just purchased a small Gucci Marmont in black leather. What are peoples thoughts on this bag? I am in two minds whether to keep or return as it now retails for £1600. Is this a must for a bag collector? I already own a Chanel M/L, mini, Gucci Soho, Alma BB. Keep or return?! Help! TiA

Thanks! I have been debating it on and off for years. I do like it but I’m just not sure... I wanted a cheaper version of the Chanel so I could wear it more haha

I have found whenever I have bought something because it was cheaper, I really wasn’t satisfied. If the Chanel is really what you want, I don’t think you’ll be happy with a “substitute”. Good luck deciding. It is a nice bag and will go with a lot but as mentioned, it doesn’t sound like you love it.

It’s a classic and very versatile and durable. Sounds like you are concerned about your Chanel, and you want to use this as your beater bag lol. If you already have a Chanel then use it! If you are saving that for special occasions, this Gucci is great for everyday. It’s classy and simple.

Thank you! I’ve decided to keep the bag. It’s really nice quality and I like that it can be worn three different ways. Also it fits SO much for a small bag :-)
Ps I love my Chanel but find it hard to wear as a everyday bag as it doesn’t work for me as a crossbody but perfect for evenings out x

Oh yay! Yes it’s a great size. I use mine a lot. Crossbody is a must for daily use.

To be honest I’m wondering why I didn’t buy it sooner now! Well the reason was (according to YouTube - it’s a trendy bag and will go out of style) but it’s been around for quite a few years now! Can’t go wrong with with the Black or Nude as they are classic colours :-)

Thank you so much!! Yeh the small looks great and fits so much... I’m in london and we’ve pretty much been in lockdown since March so haven’t been able to take her out yet! But I often take her out to have a look at and walk around the house haha x

I always find real pics (as opposed to brand/website pics) more persuasive! It really does look good. Yes, I am in lockdown in London too, but need cheering up and escapism! I have a feeling I won’t regret this purchase! ❤️X
