Would like one care to share their wear and tear experience on this item? I haven't seen any updated posts as it's a trend piece that seems to have gone out of favor recently. I would love to hear about any wear issues, I'd like to keep this piece for 5-10 years. Also, does anyone know if Gucci has had price increases on this item (does gucci even do price increases)? I'm interested in the thinnest one (0.8 width, $350) .

They have price increases but there's not usually any warning (unless you have a very nice SA who will only know days in advance). Different things go up at different rates. If you are ever going to buy something always buy it sooner rather than later.
I'm not sure what you mean by out of favour. The running GG has been around since the 1960s but you could also buy the Interlocking G (more 1970s) or any of the other belt buckle types. Just get the type that most appeals to you. If you mean 'influencer' Insta craze fodder I'm afraid I don't care, I do know that the thinnest size is not the model most were going for anyway.
The durability and wear and tear is dependant on how often someone wears it and how they wear it. The tighter, the more it will give (stretch) over time and also stretch the most used hole.
