Gucci makeup to go with your Guccis?

I did a search and I believe there is not a thread dedicated on the new Gucci makeup line yet

Do you all ladies think you will add Gucci to your makeup collection?

Back in the days, people used to use cosmetics from drugstores at home but would get a lipstick/compact from a luxury brand. I know, my mother told me this.

So have the Gucci makeup line been on your minds?

I love my Ellis Faas and YSL and have a tun, so I don't have actual 'need'.

Procter and Gamble produce the make-up line so I'd have to be totally impressed all round with the quality, packaging and colours before substituting

I love using Dior and YSL products (and now I just developed an obsession with Too-Faced eyeshadow palettes) but I will definitely have to add Gucci products to my collection. I have been waiting for a long time for Gucci to release their own cosmetics line so I'm extremely ecstatic about this news.

I won't be able to resist getting some Gucci polishes - loooove the design on the bottle caps!

i hear you, i myself a have drugstore brands in my mix. but some times i think some of us just have to have certain stuff lol like the christian louboutin polish for example.

i seem to be using the chanel quads for eyeshadow a lot recently but definitely looking to break in my YSL's. i am glad to hear the gucci is answering to your needs and rollin out their own makeup line!

Does anyone know where the make up line will be sold (aside from Gucci), like Bloomingdales, Barneys, etc? Or better yet... WHEN it comes out? I've seen murmurs of September but we're halfway in and nothing yet.

Hi Ladies. There are pictures of Gucci makeup in the Saks beauty catalogue that arrived today.

Shows makeup for eyes and lips, and one shade of nail polish--a ravishing red. IMO, nice colors and the packaging looks pretty classy in the pics. The notation on the pages featuring Gucci makeup says "New and exclusively at Saks, Coming Fall 2014",

I'm anxious to see it in person.

As an aside, since YSL was mentioned above, and I like YSL too, there are 11 new eye shadow quads coming out, and the ones shown in the pics look very nice.

Attached are pics from the Saks beauty catalogue. They're not the best pics, but at least they give you an idea of the new Gucci makeup. The black shiny paper didn't help in getting a good picture.

Completely agree - the lipsticks are very pretty. Just checked the Canadian site and looks like their beauty collection won't be available to us which well just sucks. I wonder if all the boutiques will be stocking up on the cosmetics. If not, I'll go to Saks when it's available though I kind of don't want to. I'm too used to getting my makeup at Nordies or Sephora.

I asked if they will in the boutique in Geneva (Switzerland). The woman said YES I assume it would be the same around the world

I'm really excited about the waterproof eye pencils in strong blue and green colours and the coloured Ottanio mascara

I'm also happy that the prices are relatively reasonable.
