Gucci Jackie medium, opinion plz?!

Hello Gucci lovers!

So I have been looking into Jackie bag and finally chose the color that I like (between black leather and the brown canvas, brown it is!)
also narrowed down the size I like (between small and medium, I chose medium)

But my hesitation comes here...
so my mom is willing to pass me down her old Jackie in photo but
this size is little smaller than the size I am looking and also vintage one does not come with crossbody strap...
though I call the bag from mom a 'vintage', its practically NEW, she probably wore it like three times max?

So what do you say... should I get the bag or nah?
Deciding was never this difficult!! HElp!!

Oh... this is a tough decision. The color of the leather in your mom's bag seems lighter than the current leather. If that is indeed the case, does this color work for you? Personally the lack of a crossbody strap wouldn't bother me as I think this bag shines as a shoulder bag. But, I'm usually more of a crossbody person and I totally see the appeal of having the strap.

I might lean toward taking your mom's bag then getting a new Jackie now or down the road in Medium - but pick a leather that would work with your collection since you'll already have a canvas version.

I LOVE your mom’s Jackie! Color combo is beautiful! I personally don’t like the Jackie as a crossbody given its hobo shape. Length of the handle on the vintage bag allows for shoulder, elbow or handheld wear.

I gave myself a timeline to decide now, lol
by end of this weekend!

Yes I personally tried and thought it looked better on shoulder than crossbody (the medium).
But then still haiz.....
