It's actually called the Soho Disco. The Soho line had many models.
There was another Disco, called the Sunshine Disco that came out the same time.
Cross-bodies were not so 'in' at the time. Both Discos were take anywhere, hands free, fun, city bags that referenced Gucci's historical heyday the mid-1970s and hence the playtime international music style of the era.
Thanks for the info! I remembered it was part of the Soho line, but in my laziness -lol- always seemed to drop that part! And since Classic disco is my fave genre of music, I’m pumped to have confirmation that the bag is, in fact, an ode to that time in history…it’s certainly a bag you could dance with! 
Just noticed it’s been pulled from US website as well.
Looks like the Blondie has replaced the disco. They are quite similar.
Quite a mark-up too.
The closest alternative at around that SD price-point to be the Marmont Camera style.
This thread made me get mine out of storage and back in the rotation! Just need to punch some holes to shorten the strap as I guess I prefer crossbody to sit higher nowadays. Such a great bag in the perfect red imo.
