Gucci disco python? Y or N?

Hi Gucci lovers, I am very interested in Gucci python disco, its going to be my first disco. How do u think about Gucci python durability? I take care of my bags well but I still afraid of high maintain of python and its durability. I would very appreciate any of your inputs or experiences! Thank you!

It won't stay pristine but no bag does, it's as durable as say, most special finish leathers or light colours. Not an everyday bag but with this size you can always stick it under your coat or put it in your shopping bag if it rains unexpectedly. The scales are not very long and the hand colouring is beautiful, you could easily wear this for evenings or special occasions and takes the Disco to new heights

It won't stay pristine but no bag does, it's as durable as say, most special finish leathers or light colours. Not an everyday bag but with this size you can always stick it under your coat or put it in your shopping bag if it rains unexpectedly. The scales are not very long and the hand colouring is beautiful, you could easily wear this for evenings or special occasions and takes the Disco to new heights

Thank you so much fo your reply Papertiger! I ordered the flap with chain in stead of disco. I think I wouldn't carry the python disco as everyday bag while the flap would be easier to dress up for going out or for occasions so I picked the flap with chain. I got luck cuz after I ordered it, 20' later it was sold out, and I already got the confirmation email. Yay!!! With your great taste and experience, do you think that flap would stay long and is it classic? All of that flaps in different colors got on sale this time so I am not quite sure! Did you get any this time? I would folow you

No doubt about it you could not have gone wrong with either, the Interlocking is more of a 'proper' structured bag, the Disco slightly more casual. You made a fabulous choice.

I just bought a bag from Hermes so don't follow me coz that's why I'm b.a.n.n.e.d. from this sale. The only 2 bags I would have bought would have considered would have been the larger Interlocking in red or the Lady Lock in Black (or pale blue lizard). I have a very similar bag already to the Interlocking, called a 1973 with G detail in Malachite python and ghw, the biggest difference is the strap is also python and not chain.

Yea Hermes would be... too much for me )))$$$ I just bought a Celine trapeze not to long ago so I thought I didn't need any of the sale this time but I could resist it! I got 2 bags and 2 pairs of shoes already!!!! Too bad... But I didn't regret it!!!! Lol

I was considering the red interlocking in smaller version early today but it was sold out!

I think with the disco soho strap also being python, it can make the wear more visible? I don't own a single exotic bag or shoe, so I would defer to those who do, but I definitely like the structured look of the flap one better in that skin for sure.

So a few days after I ordered the Gucci interlocking in Python, I received an email from them saying that my order was canceled because they were not able to fulfill that. My heart was broken but then I saw the red color version poped up online, i ordered it right away and was so excited about that. Then two days later I received another email from Gucci saying that they were not able to fulfill my order cuz that one was sold out. Yes I didn't get luck this sale so I gave up. But anyway I'm happy with my two pairs of shoes i got from the first day of private sale!!!
