Gucci Dionysus mini - is it heavy?

Hi Guys, I am new here and am after some advice.
I have had to sell, stop using, most of my bags due to a shoulder and neck issue that basically won't get better - it's due to a health condition I have that affects all my collagen etc, so leads to issues with my joints, my neck is particularly badly affected, and I have to be super careful as it moves too much out of the range of motion. This means bags are a nightmare!! Crossbody and super light is all i can wear now (sob).
My fave Mulberry's are all no use to me now except for my mini Lily which is small enough to still use as it is light. I also have a LV crossbody - vintage, that is super light. And a couple tory Burch canvas bags which are super super light. The rest of my bags are all no use anymore.
But I want one gorgeous new bag that I can use as best.
I love some of the LV bags, but I also love the Dionysus. I would NOT go for the large or medium as I've read they are heavy - but is the mini okay? Not the mini-mini, but the square shaped mini? I'm thinking of it in the classic canvas and beige combo, and know it can be worn crossbody, but even with the bag being small that chain looks heavy. has anyone got one? And is it as heavy as the others in the range or is it lighter?
Thanks x

I have the small but tried on the mini. Chain is heavy and might not be the best choice given your condition. But your best bet is to try it. I think only you can tell if it will work for you.

I would steer away from any of the dionysus bags. My mom bought the small size but passed it on to me only after a few uses. She too has neck/shoulder issues. While the bag might not be too heavy empty, once you fill it up it gets quite heavy. And the chain strap makes it a bit uncomfortable too. I bought her a LV since their canvas bags usually are pretty light weight so if I were you I'd probably just stick with either LV or find a bag with a thicker leather strap for more support.

Thanks for the replies ladies, I think I will go back to stalking LV. I have a couple of canvas camera bags I already love and use all the time, so don't want more of that style. I think I will focus on LV as everyone says they are so light, and I do have a Mulb with a thick strap but the leather of the bag means it is just too painful after only a short time. But those Dionysus are soooooo pretty! Lol. I appreciate the answers are there is no point me buying it if I can't use it at all. Thanks again.

There’s other brands that do pretty light weight leather bags. I have the Loewe puzzle in small and because of the more thicker strap it’s really comfortable and the bag itself is quite light weight. But of course a totally different style of bag compared to the Dionysus. You can also search for the weight of the bags you’re looking for on google to give you an indication of how heavy it will be if you can’t visit the stores.

I also have neck issues and my YSL Loulou Toy bag is one of my faves! It’s super light and its boxy shape holds a lot.

I also really like the pre-owned Gucci Jackie I bought with a crossbody attachment. The leather is very light and it’s a comfortable bag to use in general.

You could try the WOC. It has a much thinner/smaller chain and a regular snap closure. Just overall less bulky than the square mini. It's really comfortable especially worn cross body. The chain is removable also and you can use it as a clutch. It is organized into 3 pockets and has card slots/bill pockets. Idk how much you need it to fit, but I can get my phone, lots of credit cards, bills, chap stick, LV multicles with car keys, etc in it and it's not overstuffed. It basically fits everything I would put into a camera bag except a regular wallet (which you don't need) and sunglasses.
