Gucci Dionysus Mini - Black leather or GG supreme?

Hi all,

I am days away from purchasing my first Gucci bag for my 30th birthday! I have decided on the Dionysus mini, I like this size as I am only 5'1 and also prefer this style over the Marmont as I'm not a fan of the branding/logo. I am torn between the black leather or the GG supreme with beige suede trim though :confused1:

My style is fairly simple and understated. I wear a lot of neutrals (black, grey, white) and my daily 'uniform' is black jeans, boots/loafers/white sneakers, and a knit jumper or plain t-shirt.

I think the black leather is quite classic looking and would be easy to dress up for evenings, but I am not sure if the supreme print is more likely to stand the test of time given it's been around for years? I'd like to wear the bag for evenings out as well as dressed down with jeans during the day for more casual errands.

What are your thoughts? If anyone has any mod shots they would be greatly appreciated! I feel like I have spent hours trawling the forums and still cannot decide :nuts:

Black seems to fit your criteria. It can be used for evenings as well. Plus you said you don’t like branding so black would be your best bet. Gorgeous bag.

although the supreme is pretty, i do worry about color transfer.. and black is easy to manage.. so i would pick black leather; however, it is up to you. Buy what makes your heart sing :)

Another vote for black. And you don’t have to worry as much about standing the test of times... it’s a black bag. Let us know what you decide and happy early birthday!!

I have just got that exact bag in black. See my post from yday (birthday reveal). Been eyeing it up for over a year. Love it :biggrin:. I prefer leather to the fabric print. It’s just whatever your personal taste is and what you want it for or may wear it with. Maybe black leather from what you posted.
