Gucci Dionysus in medium / top handle - talk me out of it please !!!

Hi everyone, I am in love with the Gucci Dionysus. I saw it on a friend 2 years ago and fell in love with it. At that time I didn’t know it was a Gucci. Fast forward to middle of last year I finally realised the bag I saw is a Gucci bag. It was expensive. Seeing that I am not able to wear it crossbody (mini is cute but maybe hard for me to use) makes me think twice about the purchase. Anyway...

I am so tempted to buy it. Please talk me out of it !!!! I have two other LV bags and a Mulberry bag that I am planning on selling because I use them less than 1 week in the past 3 years.

I don't think this will be a classic style and will end up looking dated in a few years, sort of like the Fendi spybag. Other bags are better investments.

In my opinion, top handle bags doesn't look so great when carried crossbody in real life. The handles always seem to flop over and it makes the bag look tiny bit less perfect. But I like the look of top handle bag with the long strap just hanging down in a loop.

i have the bamboo top handle, and I would not encourage it crossbody, but the chain would probably look nice

Yeah the fendi spybag was a big hit. People collect it and it becomes dated so suddenly!

I can relate this to my alma bb ... the handle always seems to be in the way. Thanks for helping me

Basically it's not about the bag. The look you like is not really compatible with the way you like to wear it. I Love my Bamboo Top-handles, Hermes Kelly and Bolides because I like top-handles (handbags) with that extra help of a shoulder straps occasionally when needed. I like cross-bodies too but flatter or smaller.

I have the blooms and the bag on the right in noir.....love them, they are almost like pieces of art! I like them much better than the top bag pictured....I can’t talk you out of it because they are beautiful bags!!!!

I like everything in the Dionysus collection. I have just sent 3 bags off to yoogis. So I think I am gonna own a Dionysus pretty soon !!! I just cannot resist it anymore.

Do you like your blooms or black Dionysus better ?? Is yours the black suede or the smooth leather Dionysus ?
