GUCCI care/cleaning FAQs and Help

I use Collonil Waterstop on all of my bags and I'm delighted with the results, maybe you could give that a try.
Also, they've just released a new product called Carbon Pro. I've only tried it on one bag so far but the results were good and the protection is supposed to last much longer that Waterstop.
I'm sure Collonil products are good quality since Gucci gives them to their custumers. -Therefore I was surprised the stitching reacted this way..

Hi everyone, just wondering if any of you have had any luck cleaning canvas bags? I have a vintage web Boston and have ended up with some colour transfer on the canvas despite being super careful :crybaby: I thought it would be ok because the dress I was wearing had been washed a few times but I still ended up with blue on my bag...
I know it says on here about using a toothbrush and soapy water but I'm worried about making the canvas go all fluffy, please help! :help:

I have a question regarding Gucci's polished leather, hopefully I am right here.

The polished leather is not the same as patent leather, is it?
What is the difference, and does it scratch easily? How should I care for it?

So I went out last night to celebrate my friends birthday and I wore my new shoes and kinda had an mishap and somehow dropped alcohol (mostly vodka) on my shoes and this is how it looks like and i'm freaking out as its my first time wearing it!! Does anyone know how I can clean this baby up and make it back to normal!! Thank you!!

I put your thread here as people will have longer to get back to

I have to do some research on alcohol and leather, sounds very specific

Try calling Gucci headquarters they have a repair service and can give you some tips or possibly do a cleaning. Be aware however that if you send something in it takes forever. I sent in a purse for a zipper repair in early Novemember and they still don't have an estimate for me.

Is it fine if I just clean it with water as in clean it with a cloth cause I did do a spot first before I posted and it did go away but I wasn't sure if thats the proper way as when I was cleaning it the leather changed to a dark color but then after it dried up it came back to its orginal color and the stain wasn't there!!

Hi, what type / colour of leather was the bag you tried Carbon Pro on? I have used it successfully on suede but am unsure if I should try on my uncoated calf bag

Any advice on cleaning soho leather? I've used my orangey yellow Disco bag a couple of times and the back is already dirty and dull. I'm super disappointed, as I didn't have this problem with my soho leather chain bag.
