Gucci belt dilemma...running GG or Dionysus. Black/silver

I mainly wear jeans. Looking for a classic belt, and tempted on the Dionysus, as it is a bit understated/less brandy than the GG. Thoughts?

Hate to be a billboard and tend to have a designer purse (Gucci disco today) and had thought this may be understated. Both are $450

I have a silver H (Hermes) and will probably do the gold GG one day. Sure hate that Gucci doesn't let you interchange the leather like Hermes does....grrr.

I’d much rather get the dionysus one. Less in your face and doesn’t scream ‘hey look at my Gucci belt!’ Classic and stylish...not that the gg isn’t it’s just that I’m more into subtle looks. In my opinion a better choice but try them both on and see which one sings to you.

I think the GG could get dated in a few years, and the Dionysus isn’t as high profile and identifiable of a style, so it’ll last longer. I have been lusting after one for months.

I have both the Marmont and Dionysus Belt. I have to say I agree with the previous reply. For gold hardware I prefer the Marmont line, and silver I prefer the Dionysus.

I found the silver Marmont buckle to be a little lack lustre, but could work if dress a more casual. Same goes for the gold version of Dionysus.
There's also a crystal free version of the Dionysus (which is what I have) but I think I may be a little harder to track down. For reference the style code is: 454804 APOON 1000
Would love to know what you ended up getting :)

If you 'hate to be a billboard' and want a belt with 'less branding' I don't see how you could possibly enjoy the double-G Marmont belt!

Beautiful Dyonisus belts those two.

DO NOT get the one with the crystals. I just returned mine that was not even 2 weeks old because I discovered 4 crystals missing. I was lucky that I was granted a full refund. Get the Dionysus with the crystals if you are that smitten with the style. You have been warned. Good luck.
