My husband bought me this gorgeous new thang a couple of days ago, and I noticed that the tags were not included when our Gucci rep packaged up the box. I also noticed this same thing at Saint Laurent when I bought a handbag from them in December. Is this a new thing? I thought that the YSL thing was just an oversight and I didn't question it. Honestly, I didn't even notice them missing for a few days and figured it was too late to call and ask. But when I asked my Gucci rep where my tags were, same day, within an hour of purchase, she responded back that tags are not included unless the bag is a display model. So... Every other Gucci bag I've bought was a display? That can't be right. I have like 15 Gucci bags and all the tags. I bought an LV Coussin, an LV Empeinte Neverfull, and an LV Takeoff Messenger last year, and all of those came with their tags. So, of course I'm wondering if this is a new thing with certain brands?

I've bought most of mine from standalone stores, usually straight from the back never going out on the floor, and they're usually tucked in the inside pocket along with the contralto card and sometimes a sample of leather.

RTW has had tags on, but bags no.

So I'm not crazy. But my tags were not tucked inside my bag and the Gucci rep literally replied that they don't come with the bags anymore. Ugh. I now have $9000 in two bags (YSL and Gucci) that I don't even have tags for. (I do have receipts - need them for insurance.)

And yes, all my RTW was 'gucci' (ha, I love using a slang term ironically) because they were still attached when I've purchased.

Does it seem like maybe the reps are re-selling those tags under the table? Someone is doing something with them, if they've not been included with your purchase. I'd call the store manager or dig deeper into this. It seems 'off' to me.
