Gucci AW25

I just saw the AW25 catwalk (anyone else?)

The entire design team came out at the end.

Thoughts:

Original composition music for orchestra
Distanced themselves from the dark red with > dark green
Limited amount of RTW pieces (man/women models had to go around 4 times)
Spring colours for Autumn (strong lavender, chartreuse, bubblegum pink)
For women - lots of lace
For men - lots of monochrome suiting and holding holdalls in-hand by side handles or without strap.
Velvet
Suede
Patent leather(?)

Unifying points:
Pointed toe shoes / mules 'V' vamp
Luxe fabrics
'D' ring horse-bit necklaces and bags
Eggbut (snaffle) horse-bits everywhere else
90s minimalism
SHINE + something
Mixed luxe fabrics
Fake fur made to look classic (as in real)

What I liked:
Wearable styling
Colours
90s inspired beading
Shoes and bags
Suede and other luxe fabrics in vivid colours

Am I missing Sabato? Not yet.

Causal elegance is the feeling I’m getting.
I also enjoyed the live orchestra, gives a more sophisticated, almost romantic mood.
Enjoyed all the shades of green and fun pops of color.
Certain silhouettes give me a Miuccia Prada vibe?

Agreed!

All archive and carried over from some of the bucket bags this season. Looks great on a shoulder bag.

Looking forward to seeing it in person, especially the shoes and bags.

I just cannot understand what was wrong with Rosso Ancora to dismiss it, well I guess Verde Novità has made its debut
I hate hate hate the shoes, my beloved Signoria pumps were thrown out of the window.

Agree on the casual elegance. Things loo realistically put together.

Some of my favourites:

I like the red V shoes, but I don't think they will flattering on most leg types.



I like her whole look in crocus colours, and I like the ankle chain:





Favourite bag of the season, the D-bit shoulder bag. The pink looks like it's in lizard.



I like the smooth calf in cloudy blue grey with the polished brass

Bags are really interesting.
The chartreuse and purple colors are amazing! Perfect shades to combine with other colors.

Loved the orchestra and runway itself (took me a minute to realize it was the GG logo), including the lighting and mirror effect.

The catsuit was my favorite look. I thought the monochromatic suits looked sharp. Personally, I could live without the rest of it. Didn't love the boxy feel of much of the coats/tops. I do like the new and different uses of the horsebit and am curious to see what else will evolve.

Loved the catsuit too. In fact, I couldn't take my eyes off it. I think it's the belt that makes it for me.

The car coats (men's) were too long too.
