I really don't understand luxury shoes because it's like taking an expensive bag and dragging it on the floor. BUT, I'm smitten with the design of the Ace's. I can't find a reasonable dupe except for the Stan Smith's, but alas, it's still not the same. All you Gucci Ace owners - is it worth it? How is the wear and tear? Is this a shoe you can wear for 10 years? Thanks in advance for your insight! :)

I can’t speak for these sneakers, but I have been buying Gucci footwear for 20 years and the quality has always been excellent.

I agree. Bar 2 pairs of boots, for 10 years I've only bought shoes/boots from Gucci, H and DMs. Never had a problem or regret from Gucci footwear.

If you do a search there're many threads devoted to Aces

I have Ace sneakers with the snake on the heel and they are SO DELICATE. I'm not hard on my things, and the snake started peeling the second time I wore them! I contacted Gucci and they called it "normal wear and tear". My loafers have been very durable but I wouldn't buy the Ace sneakers with the snake again. Way too fussy for me.

I have multiple pair of Gucci shoes and I love them. My Ace sneakers have been great but I have heard some say that they have had issue with the embellishment on the sneakers. Maybe invest in
Ace sneakers but buy the simplest version. Remember that they run big.

I have had my Pearl/Stud Aces for a year and they look great! If you love the design, I say go for it! The price point is nowhere near the cost of an actual bag. Every time I wear them they are noticed.

I've had mine for 2 years now and they still look new
I think the quality is great! It really holds up. Personally I would not buy the majority of designer shoes as they tend to look beaten up quick, but I have several Gucci shoes that I've worn nonstop and the brand really holds to their standards.
I think Fendi and Gucci make the best designer shoes as even when the shoes are well worn, they don't look like it.

I have the ones with the sticker patches for the record, I feel like they help hide the leather creases, so it always looks new lol.

I would not reccomend getting any aces with glitter or delicate fabric.
