Group buying and flash deal sites - DANGER DANGER DANGER!!!!!

You got lucky. Looks good. I sort of felt like it was based on how it was packaged but wanted to have a look at the cards to be sure. Enjoy!

Thank you so much for responding. I don't think I'll risk it again. Always best to buy from the boutique. And I prefer that anyway. I like the whole shopping experience. I have the best shopping in Las Vegas!

Yes, yes and yes! Risk is the word.

It will cost more at a boutique, but what's the going price for peace of mind? As much as I like a bargain, I prefer to know without question that I have the real deal.

I was browsing this sub and saw this thread - it piqued my interest. I didn't realize the Saffiano bags are being faked so heavily, especially making buying even off a reputable flash sale site a no go. Very interesting and scary for consumers.

It is time to add Gilt to the list. Here is what happened to me:

http://forum.purseblog.com/prada/gilt-sold-me-a-superfake-prada-saffiano-and-899860.html

I will never buy a luxury handbag from a flash sale site again.

Bump. Anybody had Gilt fakes? I'm a die-hard Gilt girl... And this would break my heart, but I haven't purchased anything serious from Gilt yet... But would love to!

Yes, you can add Gilt to that list…

They not only sold a terrible fake, but, they are now refusing to help
the buyer and are in complete denial that the bag is fake.

It is bad enough when a site like this sells a fake,
but, then to have terrible customer service, with lame excuses
is the icing on the cake.

Hoping that this won't turn into another Bluefly Bal/Gucci debacle. But I would be willing to bet that Manila128 wasn't the only one here that bought a bag from that sale.

What happened with Bluefly, Bal Gucci?

Is there a link to this issue?

and yes, I am willing to bet you are right on the money,
that there will be others here who will crop up with fake bags
from that sale.

Thank you…

WOW!!!! That BlueFly CEO was a disgrace!!!!

The comments she made regarding authenticity of their bags,
was a bunch of self-righteous, sanctimonious crap!

There is NOTHING I abhor more than when somebody is clearly in the wrong,
but, instead of choosing to stand up and admit to being wrong,
they deflect and blame it on others in that self-righteous fashion.

That Facebook post she wrote, was beyond repugnant. For her to turn around
and basically blame tPF for pointing out that they had sold fakes,
and for her to REFUSE to admit that they had been victims as well, makes them
guilty in my opinion.
She could have easily have said:

"Yes, we received an inventory of some questionable bags
from a supplier that we don't normally do business with. Please be rest assured, that we will find out how this happened and make sure to
initiate additional quality controls, so that this will not happen again.
Thank you for helping us spot these bags."

Just how hard is it for that CEO to just ADMIT they were also duped?

This just makes me sick, I had NO IDEA.

Yes, the predictions made four years ago (by yours truly) on the "Made in China" thread have come true far beyond our expectations and it just keeps getting worse...

This is their current BBB score: F :sneaky:
