So I am looking for a great work bag, something large enough to perhaps fit a small laptop. I saw the Fendi Peekaboo Essential and loved it. It's so lovely in person, much better than the pictures online. But there is no way I am spending $7k on a bag. Do you have any favourites?

I just bought the Max Mara Whitney in large and love it. It looks stunning in person! The leather is very rich. It has a middle zip compartment for organization and security. It fits my laptop. And it's lined in a beautiful red suede but is still very light weight. Plus it looks so classy when worn. It's around $1500 ish new.
It comes in a variety of colors from black to cream to burgundy to green, etc. IMG_6215.JPGIMG_6216.JPG

I'm also on the hunt for an appropriate work bag. I've recently lost a folder of documents that I was holding separately (was caught up in a shoe sale) so I really want to be able to fit A4 in a bag!

Requirements:
- zip
- lightweight
- ideally has a long strap / can be worn on the shoulder
- can fit A4

I used to use a Givenchy Antigona (too heavy), a Longchamp (not enough structure) and currently am carrying a Saint

It would really help to know what your price range is. Are we talking $100-$300, or are you willing to spend $1000-$2000? All of these are well below $7000 so a little more info on pricing is needed. Also, do you want canvas/leather, gold/silver hardware, do you require a zip closure or is an open tote okay, etc?

What are the dimensions of an A4? I can't remember.

I think the Coach Rogue Brief would be a good option for a work bag if you are carrying a lot of documents. It's far cheaper than $7k ($695), is structured and is made of very sturdy leather. You can hand carry it and it has a shoulder strap. If i had a job that required me to carry documents, this would be a viable option imho

Something below $1500, but I’m quite flexible. I am also quite flexible on the design and material. Would like to know what else is out there. Something similar on aesthetics to the Fendi bag would be good though.

I couldn't see the attachment but I found it through a search on the coach website. I really like that one. http://www.coach.com/coach-rogue-brief-in-glovetanned-pebble-leather/11104.html It looks even better on the model here.
