i thought i saw a couch to 5k/coolrunning.com thread...but i don't see it now. anyway. coolrunning.com has this awesome program that takes you from no fitness to running a 5K by the end of 9 weeks without killing yourself. i did this last spring too and managed to run most of spring/summer/fall without hurting myself. now that it's nearly spring again, i'm about to jump back on the running bandwagon...but i've had trouble getting started. i just found a podcast that a gentleman in california made. he takes the C25K workout each week, sets it to techno music and gives cues for the warmup, run/walking, and cool down so you don't have to keep looking at your watch every 10 seconds or even think about when to switch. it's called "podcasts for running by robert ullrey". i thought i saw some other people either starting a running program or thinking about it, so this might be just the tool someone else needs too.
