Goyard - St Louis GM vs PM

I thought I would love the GM, and ordered that first, and I also found it to big on me. I like big for totes and the like, but there is something about the proportions that if you are petite looks off unless you want it for the beach. I changed to the PM and I can even wear over the shoulder even if I wish the strap drop was a tiny bit longer.

How do you find the PM over the winter coats? I have quite chunky coats and don't think I'll be able to get it over them (but I also may eventually get the LV neverfull)
I had two GMs and I sold both. I’m 5’5” and 130lbs. I prefer the pm as even with the sides folded in the GM looks sloppy on my frame. I can wear my PMs over the shoulder with my wool coats, though it is a bit snug.

I wish the store allowed photographs but I felt the same as you - it looked way too big but the handle issue is making me lean toward the GM (not sure it's worth it if I plan to get the LV neverfull eventually)

I can wear it over the shoulder with my wool coats and just about with my Moncler, but it is very snug. With fur coats no.
I wish Goyard listened to feedback and made the drop of the PM a bit longer… Then it‘d be a perfect alternative to the Neverfull.
agreed - I get that historically this bag was used as a beach bag to be carried in the arm, but still
it’s basically summer all year round where I live so I don’t usually wear my totes over coats. In winter I usually wear crossbody bags and when I do use a tote it’s a longchamp. Maybe you just need a separate tote for winter?
I’m 5’3/125. At first I thought thr GM would be overwhelming but I actually really like it. Of course it’s not an everyday bag (for me), too Big for say a run to the mall, but perfect for certain other occasions and for travel/carry on. I find it actually looks better with things inside. Trying it on at the store while the bag is brand new and stiff makes it look like one huge rectangle on your shoulder. I like it. I just purchased the GM in the metallic rose gold, which to me looks more like a bronze, apparently the last one in Paris 
I have both and am 5ft5 ish, 125 lbs. I use my GM when I travel and yes, it is huge, but I usually fold the corners in. I don’t use it as a daily bag. However, I do use my PM as a daily bag usually during the winter since it is black on black. I find that the PM is a little difficult to wear over the shoulder and it does not feel comfortable to me. I usually hold it on the crook of my arm or just hold it by the handles. I’m assuming you want to use it as a daily bag?
P.S I do also own two Neverfulls in the MM size. Although they are much heavier, the strap length is longer when wearing coats. I find the Goyards to be more squishy and lightweight and the Neverfulls to be more structured and heavy. I do tend to gravitate more towards my LVs because they are more hardwearing and I don‘t want Goyards to crack or rip. GL deciding.
I am 5’2 medium build. I have two St. Louis PMs. I have tried on the GM and don’t recall much of a difference in shoulder drop. The GM was much too large. I beliege I can get the PM or GM on over a coat, but it’s snug

If you can only have one Goyard St Louis, which size and color will you choose.
I’m having a real hard time choosing the Color and size for this bag. I plan on using it for daily errands and travel. I’m petit 5’2.

I went to the store with the intention of buying a PM but struggled to wear it over my shoulder. There was hardly any drop at all. I ended up buying the GM purely for the shoulder drop. I cinch the ends in so to me it doesn’t look much different in size to the PM. I’m 5’ 2”. I use it as a gym/beach bag and it doesn’t look huge on me.
I’m the same height as you.
