I always come back to my Bal bags... the colours, the leather!

What are thought's on an '06 Lilac Twiggy. I have a lead on a great condition bag.

If you have one, how has it aged? Any issues with the fading? How is the leather on an '06?

I can't speak to the color lilac, I don't own it and I'm not a pastel gal, but I can say that what I've seen of '06 leather has been beautiful. I only have one black '06 now, but five others have passed through my hands. The black on my 06 bag is still a very jet black, with very wrinkly distressed smooshy leather (it is also the most broken in); two whites, a greige an ink and a camel have had silky soft and smooth leather. All beautiful in their own way.

2006 leather is beautiful, but as far as I remember Lilac had tendency to yellowing
But, again, leather is tdf

I'm a bit confused...haven't I read that the 2006 colours were pretty much all prone to fading? Did I make that up? I've been avoiding them because of that

2006 was not the best year for the leather IMO (kind of on the thin, papery side), but of course .. being Balenciaga, there were always exceptions and some folks got great bags in 2006.

Probably I'm the lucky one with 2006 bags Actually I'd sold all my 2005 bags as I liked 2006 more No yellowing, but I don't have any colours prone to yellowing ( blue, pinkish- lilacish)
