Tech Got iphone 5s: what is a good non apple lightning cord?

I just upgraded from my iphone 4 to 5s. For the 4, I had tons of the 30 pin non apple approved charging cords around the house - in my room, next to my desk, etc.

The 6 ft lightning cord is $29.95 at the apple store, are there any good non apple lightning cords out there?

try ebay. but with apple, you always get what you pay for. I find that the branded apple ones work best and forever, the off market ones work for a bit but then just give out.

After I read your post I begrudgingly went to the apple store and got a couple of 6 ft cords.

Every non-Apple lightning cord I've tried won't work w/ the 5

I don't have an iphone 5, but I have an ipad 4 w/retina display that uses the lightning charger.

I found a 10ft charging cable at TJ maxx for $12. It works perfectly. I was a Sharper Image brand. I've been using it for 2+ months with no issues.

I suggest to just get an authentic Apple cord, doesn't cost much at all.
